One month and $3,600 donated.

Sorry team, I missed the week three update...been too busy boxing up the 115 hats you guys have bought over the past month. Not a typo. 115 hats. Absolutely unreal reaction from you good people.

Drumroll, please. We've donated over $3,600 to the restaurant industry. Our benefactor remains the Restaurant Workers' Community Foundation COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund; the amazing people there are providing direct financial assistance to individual restaurant workers, non-profit organizations serving restaurant workers in crisis, and restaurant owners who are working to get back up and running.

Next goal: $5,000. Although restaurants are starting to open in certain areas across the nation, millions of folks in the industry remain unemployed or at reduced hours. The latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed employment in the industry dropping from ~12 million in February to ~6 million in April...astonishing.  Further, the owners are struggling to pay rent and keep the lights on. We're gonna keep doing our part.

How are we going to do it? We have many awesome hats available on the site right now (click me to see) and will be releasing small batches weekly for the foreseeable future. Don't see anything you like? E-mail special requests to admin@horizoncaps.com and we'll try and find the perfect vintage patch for you.

THANK YOU! A huge thank you to the entire #HRZNFAM which includes all of you who have purchased hats, made donations, spread the word, and shared pictures of your beautiful Horizon Cap donned mugs on Instagram.

P.S. - we are working on some new styles, including kids sizes, flat bills, and corduroy "dad" hats. Check out the Coming Soon highlight on Instagram for a preview.

Keep on keepin on, eat local, and stay safe.

Eric
